Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your account. Your email address and your password. The password is stored only as an Argon2 hash, so nobody at Flowtasks can read it.
• Your workspace. The datasets and published rankings you upload or import, the scoring methods you save, the rankings, comparisons, and reports RankCheck produces, sign-off attestations with the signer's email and time, and a log of the actions taken in the workspace.
• A Census Bureau API key, if you choose to save one. It is encrypted before it is stored.
• Billing records. Payments are handled by Stripe. We keep your Stripe customer reference, your plan, and your subscription status. Card numbers go to Stripe directly; we never receive or store them.
• Connection data. Our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request details to deliver pages, block abuse, and keep operational logs.

How we use it

To run your account and workspace, compute and export your rankings, take payment for paid plans, keep the service secure, answer support requests, and meet legal obligations. RankCheck does not use advertising or analytics trackers, does not sell or rent personal information, and does not use your data to train AI models. Rankings are computed by a deterministic engine, not by AI.

Who else handles it

• Stripe processes subscription payments and keeps the billing records that tax and payment rules require.
• Cloudflare hosts the RankCheck website, carries traffic between your browser and our servers, and delivers account emails: the link that confirms your address and password reset links. We send no marketing email.
• The U.S. Census Bureau receives Census data requests. Those requests contain only the year and the table codes being imported, never information about you.

We disclose information to anyone else only when the law requires it. Your workspace data is stored on servers in the United States.

Cookies

RankCheck sets one cookie, rc_session, which keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It is strictly necessary, cannot be read by page scripts, and is sent only over encrypted connections. Our hosting provider may set cookies needed to protect the site from abuse. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

How long we keep it

Your data stays while your account exists. Deleting a study removes it immediately. Deleting your account removes the account, the workspace, every study, and the activity log immediately, and cancels any subscription. The database is backed up nightly and each backup is kept for 14 days, so deleted data leaves the backups within 14 days. Stripe keeps billing records for as long as tax and payment rules require.

How we protect it

Connections are encrypted, passwords are hashed, saved Census keys are encrypted, and the database is not reachable from the internet. Only the RankCheck application can query it.

Your choices and rights

You can download your results as PDF reports and Excel workbooks, delete studies at any time, and delete your account from Account settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to how it is used. Email support@flowtasks.io from the address on your account and we will respond within one month.

Children

RankCheck is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

When this policy changes in a way that matters, we will tell account holders by email or in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
