Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and Flowtasks LLC for the use of RankCheck. Creating an account or using RankCheck means you accept them.
The service
RankCheck computes z-score composite rankings from data you provide, compares them with rankings published elsewhere, records reviewer sign-off, and exports reports and workbooks. Features available to you depend on your plan, as shown on the pricing section of the home page and on Plan and billing.
Your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. Use an email address you control, keep your password private, and tell us promptly at support@flowtasks.io if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for activity in your workspace.
Your data and results
You keep all rights to the data you upload and to the rankings, reports, and workbooks made from it. You give Flowtasks permission to store and process that data only to provide RankCheck to you. You confirm you have the right to use the data you upload. RankCheck is built for aggregate figures such as state or county statistics; do not upload sensitive personal information about individuals.
Responsibility for rankings
RankCheck applies the method you choose to the data you provide and reports what it finds. You are responsible for your data, your methodological choices, and for reviewing results before relying on or publishing them. A sign-off in RankCheck is your own attestation, not a certification by Flowtasks. RankCheck does not provide legal, financial, or other professional advice, and a match or mismatch with a published ranking is not a judgement about its authors.
Census data
Census imports come from public U.S. Census Bureau data and are stored as published, apart from conversions you choose, such as expressing counts as a share of the table total. This product uses the Census Bureau Data API but is not endorsed or certified by the Census Bureau.
Plans and billing
- The free plan costs nothing and has the limits shown on the pricing section.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe, and renew each month until cancelled.
- You can switch plans or cancel at any time from Plan and billing. A switch is prorated; a cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, and payments for that period are not refunded unless the law requires it.
- If a payment fails, your plan stays active while Stripe retries. If the subscription ends, the workspace returns to the free plan: nothing is deleted, but studies beyond the free limit cannot be added until you upgrade or remove some.
- If the price of your plan changes, we will tell you by email before you are charged the new price.
Acceptable use
Do not use RankCheck to break the law, to upload data you have no right to use, to probe or disrupt the service or other workspaces, to get around plan limits, or to resell access. We may suspend accounts that do.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from Account settings; this cancels any subscription and removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep RankCheck running and your data safe, but the service is provided as is and may be unavailable during maintenance or outages. We may improve or change features. When these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell account holders before the change takes effect.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent the law allows, Flowtasks disclaims all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, and is not liable for indirect or consequential losses or lost profits. Flowtasks' total liability for any claim relating to RankCheck is limited to the amount you paid for RankCheck in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Florida, and both parties agree to their jurisdiction.
